About Dot's Place Direct Pediatrics
Dot's Place is a Direct Pediatric Care Practice founded to provide quality evidence-based family-centered care, built on service & trust. Dot's Place is a unique model, which allows Dr. Woerner and her patients to "get back to the basics;" focusing on the doctor-patient relationship. We aim to provide an alternative way for families to receive pediatric care; a way that is reliable, efficient, accessible, & convenient.
Dot's Place has set a low maximum patient volume in order to ensure accessibility for appointments & to Dr. Woerner (via text, phone, & email), longer patient appointments (30-60 minutes), & virtually no wait times (we don't even have a waiting room!) for members.
Dot's Place has implemented a membership style payment structure that is transparent and allows for patient specific care without the confines of third party insurance company restrictions.
Dr. Woerner loves the personal healthcare system Dot's Place provides; allowing her patients to be cared for as part of her family.
About Dr. Marion Woerner
Dr. Marion Woerner was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She graduated with a 4.0, with Highest Honors, from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in History with a Religious Studies focus. She was inducted to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Following graduation, she moved to Houston for medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHSC), where she stayed to complete her pediatric residency training. Dr. Woerner was awarded Intern of the Year, Best Resident Teacher, the Marnie Rose award and an additional year serving as Chief Resident during her time with UTHSC.
While her husband, Dr. Kyle Woerner, completed an orthopedic surgery residency, Dr. Woerner spent a year working as a pediatric hospitalist with Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Woodlands, TX. Then, while he completed his orthopedic hand surgery fellowship in Philadelphia, PA, she worked at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in the Emergency Department. Following the completion of her husbands medical training, their family settled back in Houston. Dr. Woerner worked as a primary care pediatrician with Memorial Hermann Medical Group for seven years.
The Woerners have two sons. As a family, they enjoy traveling, skiing (both snow & water), & fishing. In her spare time, Dr. Woerner, enjoys reading (especially for book club), jogging & volunteering with her church and for her children's activities.
Dr. Woerner founded Dot's Place to provide families an alternative way to receive pediatric care. She has a passion for preventative and evidence-based medicine, and she has the desire to provide a service that is reliable, accessible & convenient.
Dot's Place strives to provide quality family-centered pediatric care, to a standard befitting it's namesake, Dr. Woerner's grandmother, "Dot-Dot." Dot-Dot's steadfast character was both gentle & approachable but was also principled & direct.
We have been with Dr. Woerner for seven years. She is always accessible, and as a mom of two kids, that is essential. I text her regularly with questions, and she always takes the time to thoroughly answer my questions. In her office, we have never felt rushed. Not to mention, our kids love going to her office! -LM-
